Advice You Need
Posted 02/08/2012 by Childhelp
Advice is a funny thing. On one hand, it can be incredibly easy to dole out, almost too easy, especially for situations we know only a little about. On the other hand, advice can be hard to ask for, even at the times when we need it most.
At Childhelp our goal is to eliminate child abuse and neglect altogether, but along the way, we have met and we know we’ll continue to meet a lot of people whose lives have been pretty well ravished by injustices imposed on them. Things that they had little to no control over. Things that may take a lifetime to find complete healing from. Things that advice cannot fix.
However, we know that there are many people, maybe even you, who have needed advice when it comes to parenting. Or advice about how or whether to report suspected abuse or neglect. Or someone to talk to when you’re at your wits end as a parent and want help.
Regardless of what situation you may find yourself in today or in the future, we want to make ourselves available to you.
If you need advice in regards to parenting or child abuse, call us at the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, at no charge (and anonymously), at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453). Get the advice you need, when you need it. Licensed counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We want to be there for your children—and for you.blog comments powered by Disqus
