How important is community outreach?

At Childhelp we believe that every child has a unique contribution to make to the world, so we do everything within our power to help each child heal and develop self-esteem to reach their God-given potential.
While we spend a lot of our efforts aiding the recovery of children who have experienced abuse, we are just as committed to preventing it altogether. In fact, our hope is that someday there will no longer be a need for our services.
We know that a lot of change has to happen in the world before child abuse becomes a thing of the past though. That is why, over the years, we have added many programs to reach out to the communities we are in.
Some of our community outreach programs include homelessness recovery for moms at The Bridge and Community Centers for kids and teens. All of our programs were created with the goal of fostering environments where children are valued, encouraged and loved. We hope to influence as many families as we can in order to stop abuse and neglect before it starts.
