Team Childhelp - Different Roles to Play
Posted 08/29/2011 by Childhelp
Each one of us has different interests, skills, passions, goals, etc. That’s what makes this world such an exciting place to live and getting to know each person a bit of an adventure. Childhelp supporters, like the rest of the world, are made a with a variety of ingredients, but one thing we all have in common is that we are working and hoping for a better world—one that doesn’t include child abuse or neglect.
Here’s a message from Mallory, a new Childhelper, about why and how she is getting involved this year:
The photo to the left is a message written by a child and posted on Childhelp’s Worry Wall in a downtown Phoenix facility where she is being cared for.
Click here to watch ABC 15’s story to see the Worry Wall and learn more about the current state of child abuse and neglect from Childhelp employees. After watching you’ll know why I’ve decided to raise money with Team Childhelp and hopefully will utilize this fundraising page to make a donation!
On October 16, 2011 I will be running in the Toronto Marathon with Team Childhelp for charity! This great organization strives to put an end to child abuse and and neglect through advocacy, prevention and treatment. Help me achieve my fundraising goal by making a contribution on this page. Your gift won’t only help me, but also the children that are helped by Childhelp on a daily basis. Nearly five children die every day from child abuse and neglect in the United States alone. More than three out of four are under the age of four. A report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds. Your support can make a difference.
