Childhelp’s financial overhead is low, particularly when compared with other direct human service organizations. Ninety-one cents out of every dollar contributed to Childhelp goes to provide direct services to Childhelp children and families.
Childhelp tracks all donor designations or instructions regarding how their gifts are to be used. For larger gifts, Childhelp can provide a project budget outlining how funds will be spent for a particular project, and an annual report summarizing both program and financial results.
Childhelp is audited by independent Certified Public Accountants, in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. Complete audited financial statements are available upon request.
Childhelp is organized as a nonprofit corporation, and operates under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is, therefore, exempt from federal and state income taxes, except as to unrelated business income. Contributions to Childhelp are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
