Pee Dee is a seven county region in South Carolina. This collaborative venture is to ensure the citizens in this region receive 24/7 assistance via the hotline for crisis intervention and referral to local resources as identified by the Pee Dee Coalition.
Safe Talk Help Line -- 1-866-972-3399
Serving the citizens of Utah and Arizona regarding the issues of polygamist marriages specifically in Colorado City the Hotline was conceived as a safe and confidential mechanism to allow victims to contact and seek assistance any time it is needed. The Safe Talk counselors are well informed and trained regarding the specific issues of polygamy and do provide immediate resources and information for each caller using the Safety Net Service Providers located within Colorado City as well as throughout Utah and Arizona. Immediate assistance such as crisis intervention, safety planning, and immediate attachment to local resources are among the top priorities of the Safe Talk Help Line.
Speak Up Weapons Reporting Hotline -- 1-866-SPEAK-UP (1-866-773-2588)
The Weapons reporting hotline --- a National reporting hotline called SPEAK-UP purpose is to give youth a place to safely and confidentially report a co-student who is carrying a weapon to school. It is reported that 81% of school attackers told others about their plans in advance. Currently the reporting hotline receives approx 250-1000 per month; the calls primarily originate after school time hours. Other issues that are often reported by youth contacting the hotline are issues of bullying and drugs on campus. The hotline is able to make official reports to the school in question and local law enforcement authorities mitigating the threat of the use of weapons on schools across the nation.
