Nielsen ratings, the internationally accepted standard for measuring what audiences are watching on their televisions, recorded an astounding market share of 49 in the Phoenix designated market area (DMA) alone. For those not in the broadcast industry this figure indicates that during the two time periods Crystal Darkness aired on April 15, 49 percent of the households in the Phoenix DMA were tuned in to the meth prevention program. The Country Music Television Awards (CMT Awards) has asked each vocalist who was nominated to select a charity. For each category (male vocalist video, female vocalist video, group, etc), CMT will be donating $2,500 to the winner's selected charity. Martina McBride's video "Anyway" is nominated for Best Video by a Female Vocalist. Martina's video "Concrete Angel" highlighted the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at the end of the video several years ago. Read More »

On Friday, February 15th, GPM Investments, LLC, which operates the Fas Mart convenience stores, donated $20,000 to the Childhelp Alice C. Tyler Village of Virginia. The funds were raised from its 8th Annual Golf Outing and Auction held last fall. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, which is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and receives nearly 200,000 calls each year, operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Serving the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam, the hotline is staffed with professional crisis counselors who are able to provide crisis intervention, information, literature and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service and other support agencies in 140 different languages.
