Childhelp Special Workshops

This program will discuss the rationale for expanding one’s clinical repertoire to adjust to the child’s needs. We will review the evidence-based practices for children, discuss best practices and explore a range of directive and non-directive strategies, including play therapy, that build the therapy relationship,encourage children’s expression, and intervene with problems and concerns. Nielsen ratings, the internationally accepted standard for measuring what audiences are watching on their televisions, recorded an astounding market share of 49 in the Phoenix designated market area (DMA) alone. For those not in the broadcast industry this figure indicates that during the two time periods Crystal Darkness aired on April 15, 49 percent of the households in the Phoenix DMA were tuned in to the meth prevention program. The Country Music Television Awards (CMT Awards) has asked each vocalist who was nominated to select a charity. For each category (male vocalist video, female vocalist video, group, etc), CMT will be donating $2,500 to the winner's selected charity. GPM Investments, LLC donated $20,000 to the Childhelp Alice C. Tyler Village of Virginia

On Friday, February 15th, GPM Investments, LLC, which operates the Fas Mart convenience stores, donated $20,000 to the Childhelp Alice C. Tyler Village of Virginia. The funds were raised from its 8th Annual Golf Outing and Auction held last fall. Ad Council launches child abuse campaign highlighting Childhelp

The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, which is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and receives nearly 200,000 calls each year, operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Serving the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam, the hotline is staffed with professional crisis counselors who are able to provide crisis intervention, information, literature and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service and other support agencies in 140 different languages.
