Childhelp hotline receives $250,000 sponsorship from Isagenix
09/15/2008
The sponsorship by Isagenix is representative of the company’s active
and charitable involvement with Childhelp® over the past four years. To
date, Isagenix and its employees and associates have donated nearly $1
million to various Childhelp® programs and services.
“Isagenix
is committed to building stronger communities through our philanthropic
partnership with Childhelp® and is honored to aid them in their mission
with the generous support of our employees, customers and Associates,”
said Isagenix Co-Founders Jim and Kathy Coover. “The hotline is
critical in providing inspiration, hope and support for those in need
and is helping to save lives.”
The Childhelp® National Child
Abuse Hotline has received more than two million calls since it first
began service in 1982. These calls come from children at risk for
abuse, distressed parents seeking crisis intervention and concerned
individuals who suspect that child abuse may be occurring. The Hotline
is also a valuable resource for those who are mandated by law to report
suspected abuse, such as school personnel, medical and mental health
professionals and police and fire investigators. The Hotline offers
crisis intervention, information, literature, and referrals to
thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources. All
calls are anonymous and confidential.
“We are proud and honored to partner with Isagenix for their year-long sponsorship of our
Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline which serves children across
America, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam,” said
Childhelp Co-Founder and CEO Sara O’Meara. “Through the generosity of
everyone at Isagenix, so many more children and their families in need
will have the opportunity to receive immediate safety and care.”
“Isagenix
has been involved with Childhelp for several years, and their
unwavering support has contributed to Childhelp offering many more
children protection and healing of their bodies, minds and spirits,”
said Childhelp Co-Founder and President Yvonne Fedderson. “We are so
grateful to Isagenix for this dynamic and benevolent partnership with
Childhelp.”
