Childhelp Merv Griffin Village Virtual Christmas

We hope everyone enjoys the 2020 Childhelp Merv Griffin Village Virtual Christmas. Our children enjoyed their Christmas program on December 6th, and it was our pleasure to be able to watch our kids be kids. As they came running over the hills from their cottages, the smiles on their faces when they saw the 20 tons of snow brought in was truly priceless! They were able to enjoy sledding and snow fights, and we would like to give a special thanks to Patti and Jim Edwards for sponsoring the snow.

The rest of the day was enjoyed by the children playing on giant blow-up obstacle courses and bounce houses, taking photos in an old time VW Photo Booth Bus, sipping on hot cocoa, making s’mores and ornaments, and crafts galore! This year, their cottages have lights up on the outside and big blow-up displays. Every cottage is decorated inside with special help from the Indian Wells and Orange County Chapters. As Christmas nears, our elves sort and match all of the wonderful gifts brought in by numerous donors and sponsors. And we couldn’t have done all of the wrapping of over 500 gifts without the help and support of Oasis Community Church and The Inland Empire Chapter members.

Finally, we would like to offer a Special “thank you” to our Founders, Sara and Yvonne, for without them, our facility wouldn’t exist and our kids would not be in a safe and loving environment for the holidays. We hope you enjoy this special performance of our Childhelp Children’s choir, 4B’s performance of “The Nativity Scene” and many special moments and memories caught on photos and videos of the entire village and staff enjoying the true meaning of Christmas.
