History

The Phoenix Chapter has been supporting Childhelp and its programs since 1988. The members of this chapter work hard to raise awareness and funds for Childhelp programs in Arizona through various fundraising efforts. They collaborate with local businesses for BBQ lunches and sell Diamond Back tickets. In addition to reaching out to local businesses, the chapter holds larger events such as their annual dinner and auction.

Chapter members also support local programs by doing toy and clothing drives for children receiving services, throwing holiday parties for families at the community centers, or by taking on renovation and decorating projects for the Childhelp facilities. They support the programs in any way they can.

However, this chapter doesn’t stop there! They are working on educational components to the work they do as well. They have plans to bring in national speakers specializing in educating the public on the signs of child abuse and how to report it. The impact this chapter makes on the fight against child abuse in Arizona is immeasurable.
