Childhelp Wings to Present 10th Annual Fashion Show Luncheon

Phoenix, Ariz. (3/22/16) – Childhelp®, the nation’s oldest and largest non-profit advocating for abused and neglected children, will host its 10th Annual Childhelp Wings Fashion Show Luncheon on Sunday, April 3rd at the Montelucia Resort and Spa.  What began as a mother-daughter volunteer organization, under the leadership of longtime supporter Carol Hebets, Childhelp Wings brings together volunteers and youth organizations throughout the community to implement service projects and fundraisers that support Childhelp Arizona programs and services.

Supported by co-chairs, Addison Brown and Tiffany Quayle, each brings their passion for philanthropy and love of fashion to create one of the Valley’s premier family-friendly events.

“Childhelp’s mission has always been near and dear to my heart,” said Quayle. “The Childhelp Wings Fashion Show is an opportunity to increase awareness of the child abuse epidemic in the state of Arizona, while raising resources critical to its treatment and prevention.

Staying true to this year’s theme, “Life Should Be a Dream,” guests will be treated to a celebrity runway, a live and silent auction, raffle prizes, a meet-and-greet with celebrity guest Kevin Quinn from Disney Channel’s Bunk’d  and more. The show will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will feature the latest fashion trends from  Dillard’s, Mae & Marie, Scottsdale Men’s Shoppe, Paris Paris, and Amy Inc.

Celebrities expected to make their way down the runway with their children and grandchildren include: former Seinfeld star John O’Hurley, former Vice President of the United States Dan Quayle, retired Phoenix Suns player legend and Ring of Honor inductee Dan Majerle,  Diamondbacks third base coach Matt Williams, Diamondbacks catcher Tuffy Gosewisch, former Diamondbacks relief pitcher JJ Putz, and former NFL player and ASU alumnus Adam Archuleta.

Serving as the emcee for the second year in a row, ABC 15 Arizona’s Nick Ciletti will be joined by Quinn as his co-host. Together, they will introduce the Childhelp Wings awardees who will be honored for their commitment to serving at risk children. Awardees include: Carol McElroy, Childhelp Helping Hands Award; and Laurie and Bill Eckholm, Childhelp Heart of An Angel Award.

It is estimated that five children die each day from abuse and neglect in the United States, and for nearly six decades, Childhelp has worked to combat this epidemic. Between 2010 and 2013 alone, Childhelp impacted the lives of over 18,000 children in Arizona through lifesaving programs and services. Nationally, Childhelp has served over nine million children.
