Childhelp credits its success to its founders’ visionary beliefs, which are at the heart of the organization.

Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson founded Childhelp in 1959, establishing it as the leading national non-profit dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect. They believe listening and caring, and unconditional love are at the foundation upon which all healing begins, and is just as vital to the healing process as diagnosis and treatment.

While Childhelp has helped nearly 10 million children, there are many more that need us. With vulnerable boys and girls struggling in high-risk environments – and with state child protective services (CPS) agencies operating beyond capacity – we have our work cut out for us. Help support the cause and let’s end the cycle of child abuse and neglect. Together, we will make sure that children everywhere always have a lifeline to safety with Childhelp.
