Intervention

Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline: 1-800-4-A-CHILD(1-800-422-4453) Dedicated to the prevention of child abuse serves the United States, its territories, and Canada, staffed24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who, through interpreters, can provide assistance in 170 languages, offering crisis intervention. All calls are confidential.

Childhelp Foster Care and Adoption Services – The Childhelp Foster Care & Adoption Services provide short and long-term therapeutic foster care to abused and neglected children. We work to match children in need with warm, loving families who can provide a caring and safe environment. We are licensed to recruit, screen, train, and certify foster care parents. It’s our mission to help foster children we serve find a forever home where they can meet their full potential.

Childhelp Group Homes – Childhelp’s California group homes seek to heal children in California’s child welfare system by providing comprehensive treatment in stable, nurturing, safe environments.

Childhelp Children’s Advocacy Centers – A one-stop, multi-disciplinary approach to reduce the trauma of child abuse victims during the interview and examination process in Phoenix, Arizona and Knoxville, Tennessee. Additionally, Childhelp Children’s Mobile Advocacy Center brings comprehensive, professional services and treatment to abused children in rural areas of northern Arizona.

Treatment

Childhelp Residential Treatment Facilities – Located in rural communities, Childhelp residential treatment facilities (known as villages) provide specialized therapeutic treatment programs for court-referred, severely abused, neglected and at-risk children. The facilities answer a need for full-time, around the clock care and supervision. Childhelp provides a safe and nurturing home for survivors with unique needs from diverse backgrounds.

Prevention

Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe – Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe is an evidence-based, comprehensive curriculum with age-appropriate lessons that help students in grades pre-K through 12 prevent, interrupt, and break the cycle of abuse. It focuses on personal safety and includes in-depth facilitator training, reinforcement activities, materials for parents/caregivers, and more.

Childhelp Community Center – Founded in 1993, the preschool program quickly became a community resource and link to serve a wide-range of other needs including services and referrals in health care, crisis intervention, case management, after-school enrichment, kindergarten preparation, early childhood interventions, and additional family resources.

Childhelp works diligently at effectively managing the resources that are entrusted to us. To that end, 85 cents of every dollar spent goes directly to the programs benefiting the children.
