The nation’s capital is the epicenter of Childhelp’s efforts on the Childhelp National Day of Hope. Every year during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Childhelp encourages Americans to recognize Childhelp National Day of Hope and reflect on the lives lost every day to child abuse and neglect.
Childhelp’s volunteers and donors, in and around DC, help support the local communities, as well as the children at the nearby Childhelp Alice C. Tyler Village through programs like the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline and Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe. In addition to supporting these efforts, Childhelp also promotes and supports legislative initiatives for stronger child protection laws and treatment programs.
