What Is Childhelp Connect To Protect Kids?

Connect to Protect Kids (CTPK) is a training for adults who want to protect children and prevent child sexual abuse and other types of interpersonal harm. CTPK is delivered by trained facilitators who present compelling content to adults in a community. This comprehensive, flexible training provides customizable modules for parents, caregivers, families, professionals, schools, and youth-serving organizations and seeks to be inclusive of cultural, racial, community, and regional needs. In this training, adults will discover that protecting children is possible with the 3 Keys to Protecting Children—Commitment, Connection, and Action and by building connected, protective communities.

CTPK helps adults learn proactive skills to protect children with a focus on:

  • Risk reduction strategies
  • Preventing perpetration
  • Fostering healthy relationships and protective factors
  • Teaching bystander intervention
  • Building connected, protective communities that prioritize child safety
