GeorgiaChildhelp National Prevention / Education Office P.O. Box 1960 Click Here For Georgia Employment PreventionOur Georgia office is the home of the Good-Touch/Bad-Touch® curriculum. The curriculum training and materials are offered everywhere that adults want effective child abuse prevention education to use with children in both an educational and treatment capacity. Good-Touch/Bad-Touch®
is a primary prevention curriculum, which has been in existence since
1983, and which has been used successfully with hundreds of thousands
of children in grades Pre-K through 6th. Published research
reports that “Relative to the control group, at both a three-week
post-test and a seven-week follow-up, children participating in the
prevention program (Good-Touch/Bad-Touch®)
demonstrated more knowledge about preventing abuse and performed better
on simulated scenes involving sexual abuse. The results indicate
that children as young as kindergarten-age can be taught skills to
prevent sexual abuse.” Trainers are available throughout the year to train new Facilitators in Good-Touch/Bad-Touch®. We have a variety of training opportunities to best meet the needs of both public and private schools, advocacy centers, law enforcement, Headstart programs, mental and public health professionals, and child protective service workers. Trainings can be scheduled at your site or we have regularly scheduled training opportunities as promoted on our Calendar, Good-Touch/Bad-Touch® Parent Support Offered is a wide range of materials for parents to use to help their children stay safe from abuse.
