Childhelp has once again achieved accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA). I want to take a moment to reflect on what this designation represents and why it matters.

COA accreditation is a rigorous, independent evaluation of how an organization operates. It examines governance, leadership, financial oversight, policies, staff training, and how an organization protects and supports the children and families it serves. The process is designed to assess not just what an organization intends to do, but how it shows up in practice, consistently over time.

From my perspective, this outcome was not a surprise.

What the process affirms

The COA review asks thoughtful, and at times, challenging questions. It requires organizations to demonstrate accountability, consistency, and follow-through. It looks closely at whether systems are in place not only to meet standards, but to sustain them.

Ultimately, this accreditation affirms the people behind the work. Across Childhelp, staff, leadership, and the Board of Directors approach their responsibilities with care, professionalism, and a shared sense of stewardship. Policies are taken seriously. Oversight is intentional. Training and safeguards are treated as essential, not optional. And the focus remains where it belongs: Protecting children and supporting families with integrity, respect, and care.

COA accreditation provides independent confirmation that these practices are not aspirational. They are embedded in how Childhelp operates every day.

Why this matters

Childhelp works in spaces where trust is paramount. Families, partners, and communities rely on this organization to be steady, thoughtful, and prepared. Accreditation is an important milestone; it is not the reason Childhelp holds itself to high standards. Rather, it is an external affirmation of the values, systems, and discipline that already guide the organization’s work.

Looking ahead

I am grateful to the many individuals whose daily commitment to excellence made this process seamless. This accreditation reflects collective effort, sustained attention, and a shared belief that how the work is done matters as much as the work itself.

Childhelp will continue to operate with care, accountability, and rigor because children deserve nothing less. COA accreditation affirms that commitment, and offers a meaningful moment to pause, reflect, and recognize the people and practices that make it possible.
