Raising Money for Childhelp—A Cause That’s Deeply Personal to Me

Racing to Give Children Hope

My name is Scott Wiegold, and I’m racing in an Ironman to raise money for Childhelp, a cause that’s deeply personal to me.

Before college, I had never heard of Childhelp. But after joining Sigma Nu, I was introduced to the organization and its mission—and it completely changed how I view the world and my place in it.

This past year, I had the privilege of attending the Childhelp Gala. There, I heard a brave young woman share her story—her painful past, and how Childhelp gave her hope, healing, and a future. That moment stuck with me. It reminded me that while finishing an Ironman is a huge achievement, doing it for something bigger than myself is what truly drives me.

I’m racing to help children who deserve the same opportunities I’ve had—to stand tall, chase their goals, and believe in what’s possible.

Thank you for supporting me, and more importantly, for supporting them.”
