You could save a child's life

Join Scott Jennings in giving children a lifeline

Right now, children across the country are reaching out to the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline in moments of fear, pain, and crisis. Your generosity ensures that when they call, someone answers.

  • $135 sponsors 5 calls, providing immediate help for children in need.
  • $270 sponsors 10 calls, offering a caring voice for children in crisis.
  • A monthly gift sustains a 24/7 resource of compassion and safety.

Your gift is more than support. It’s a voice of comfort, a path toward safety, and sometimes, the difference between despair and hope.

FAQs

What is Childhelp's Federal Tax ID Number?

Our EIN/tax ID number is 95-2884608

Can I give in honor or memory of someone?

Absolutely! When making an online donation, select the “I Would Like to Dedicate This Gift” option and follow the prompts to honor or remember someone special. If you prefer to donate by check, please include a note with the honoree’s name and their contact information (email or mailing address). We will ensure they receive a letter acknowledging your generous donation.

Are there any transaction fees associated with my donation?

Unfortunately, even nonprofit organizations incur fees from banks and credit card companies to process donations. We encourage you to choose the most convenient donation method for you. Checks are the least expensive to process. If you’d like to help cover the cost of transaction fees for an online gift, you have the option to do so when making your donation.

What is your refund policy?

Great Question! We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with your donation. If you wish to request a refund for a donation made electronically (credit card, debit card, or EFT), these must be completed within 24 hours of the transaction. Send your request via email to donorservices@childhelp.org, and we will refund the donation in the form of the original payment. Please note that donations made by other means (cash, check, gift-in-kind, etc.) are final and cannot be refunded.

Will I receive a receipt?

All donors will receive an annual giving statement, compliant with IRS requirements, by the end of January. If you donated online and provided an email address, you will receive an emailed acknowledgment. To manage costs and reduce waste, we will send paper acknowledgments only for gifts of $25 or more. However, electronic receipts are available upon request from our donor services team.

What percentage of my donation is used for administrative and fundraising costs?

Please visit our Accountability and Transparency page to see our most recent financial numbers, including our annual report, administrative costs, and an independent financial statement filed by our auditors.

How do I give via wire transfer or ACH?

Thank you for your generosity! To give via wire transfer or ACH, please complete and return this form so we can attribute your gift correctly. For further instructions, feel free to contact our Donor Services Team at DonorServices@Childhelp.org.
